Terrible quality, but hey, it’s Superior Court! (A geeky childhood favorite of mine.)

There’s bound to be something I’ll need someday in here.

I always loved this video with Kool Keith rapping in a straightjacket.

YES!!!

Good (if somewhat obvious) ideas here. I’m pretty good about #2 and 4 and not-so-good about #1, 3, 5, and 6.

Super crazy in-depth.

Some seriously amusing reading here from the far Christian right. [via Chris]

Really great Ask MeFi question about trying to “do everything.” Lots of good responses, too, including one that lead me to “Refuse to Choose,” which I am currently reading.

Clearly, I’ll need to return to this page.

“Now, some [runners/bikers/triathletes] are trying to gain an edge by finding where the fast racers aren’t.” That’s just sad. [via kottke]

Huh, Had never thought about this issue. I suspect we may need to start.

40 years ago this month, interracial marriage became legal. Now, 1 in 15 marriages are interracial. [via Thingamababy]

I was thinking something much dirtier.

“Pro wrestler Chris Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son before hanging himself in his weight room, a law enforcement official close to the investigation told The Associated Press Tuesday.” Jesus.
-
“Investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and 7-year-old son over the weekend, then himself on Monday.”

My skee-ball obsession continues.

If you’ve ever been to Wildwood, this will make you laugh immediately. (Warning: noisy and obnoxious.)
You’ll be comforted to know that laze.net has been renewed through 2016.
Just think, we’ll all be driving flying cars by the time I need to renew my domain next!

A map of New Jersey made based only on references in Bruce Springsteen songs.
The weekend was nice, with the two highlights being a nice nap with the girl and running in the Potomac River Running Twilight Festival 4 Miler.
This race is definitely the most serious of the few races I’ve run. The Poplar Spring races draw some really good runners, but the focus is more heavily on the cause, so I end up placing a little better. The Stupid Little 5k draws good runners, but the atmosphere is so casual and laid back and there’s only a small group that runs it. This one, though, drew almost 1,000 runners. Impressively, the results were online only a couple of hours after the race. Somewhat frustratingly, though, they’re sorted by gun time (with the times based on the official start of the race, putting people further back in the group at a disadvantage) rather than by the more accurate chip time (which measures from the moment you start the starting line). For instance, there was this guy who completely bypassed all running etiquette and sped past me in the last 10 feet of the race race. He placed one spot ahead of me by less than a second, but I actually ran the race 40 seconds faster than him.
In any event, I’m really pleased with how I did. I placed right around the middle of the pack, running the 4-miler in 33:56. Since I hadn’t been training very hard, I was shooting for under 36 minutes. I averaged an 8:29/mile, but my GPS said I actually ran 4.11 miles, which comes out to an 8:19/mile average. It was a flat course, yes, but it was pretty warm.
I didn’t break any speed records, of course, but this is one of my better times, so I can’t complain. At least this year,

16-year-old makes O’Reilly look like an idiot. This kid has composure that I wish I had now, let alone in high school. Well done.

Bush Twins make a mix cd for dad. Mix CD is presumably illegal according to the RIAA. Lawyer writes the RIAA to suggest suing for $1.8 million. Brilliant.

Opps!

Of the obvious “politicians are slimy” nature, but it’s nice to see some numbers.

A quick little del.icio.us podcast mention of One Sentence (part of the post-Dooce sidebar link fallout).

Interesting looking reads here, including “Quantized Culture” and “Rituals of Vinyl.”
