If you get Discovery Health channel (you probably do), there’s a new Progeria special on tonight titled from 10-11pm (eastern) Progeria: Too Young to be Old. It tells the story of little Fleur and has footage from the 2002 Progeria Reunion. I encourage you to watch this special, especially if you didn’t see the 1997 Discovery channel special (Old Before Their Time).
The special airs again at 1am and on Saturday at 1pm. Drop me a line if you get a chance to watch.

I must say that the Progeria special on the Discovery Channel was one of the most moving documenteries I have ever watched. The children are so innocent and unknowing of their fate. Thank you Discovery Channel for bringing this rare disease to the forefront for all to understand. Maybe we can make the lives of these children a little bit better by having a better understanding of the disease.

I also watched the documentery and found it so moving that I decided to look for updates on little Fleur. On the Progeria website it stated a list of children that passed away after 1999 and Fleu’s name was on the list at age 2yrs old. She must of died shortly after the filming of the documentery. How very sad for the child and her family.
