Study: Teens Who Watch Wrestling More Likely to Be Violent

No, it should be: “Teens Who Have No Family Structure or Mind of Their Own Are More Likely to be Affected by What They Know is a Scripted Sport.”

The MIT List of Radio

The MIT List of Radio Stations has long been a great Net resource for radio information. This list can now be found at Radio-Locator.com, and is better than ever.

It’s a simple interface that allows you to search for stations with specific kinds of programming, by call letters, or by location. The information it provides range anywhere from the exact location of the FM tower to the station’s web page and whether or not they broadcast on the Net.

I was especially pleased to find WMWC on their listing, despite how increidbly small it is. I submitted some changes to them as well, to bring them a little more up-to-date on the station.

I was very amused by WMOB radio, recordings of wiretapes placed on a mobster’s home phone. Funny stuff. (tee you via Cruel SotD)

I got my package as

I got my package as expected from UPS, despite the fact the online tracking still says it’s in Pennsylvania.

Whatever.

New Soft Rain: Kaycee, Dave,

New Soft Rain: Kaycee, Dave, and Bob. Deception, deception, deception.

OK, UPS has once again

OK, UPS has once again proven their inability to deliver a simple package.

A book and DVD shipped 3-Day Select from Edison, NJ on May 25th. It arrived in Burtonsville, MD on May 26th. Because of the holiday weekend, it didn’t leave MD until the 29th. The way I figured, it should arrive at the Dulles, VA hub this morning and at my work today. But no. Instead it arrived in New Stanton, PA last night. Why New Stanton, PA? I’m not sure — it’s even further away than Burtonsville, MD is.

So I probably won’t have my book until almost a week after it was shipped.

UPS truly does stand for “Unbelievably, Pathetically Slow.” Add it to this previous incident, and you have an incompetent company.

I think my favorite feature

I think my favorite feature of the Washington Post online is their Day in Pictures section. This one from yesterday is a pretty eerie picture.
