The first leg of my flight, from Dulles to O’Hare, went fine. I actually almost scored a direct flight and $300 travel voucher because they overbooked my flight, but it didn’t pan out. It looked like we’d be getting into San Fran at the scheduled time, but at the last minute, we had to pull back into the gates at O’Hare because they “packed the plane wrong” and it was “lopsided”! Sheesh. A 20 minute delay turned into a 2-hour delay (in an un-airconditioned plane) when they had to refuel before we took off. Sheesh. At least I arrived safely, even though I didn’t make it to the bed and breakfast until 10pm Pacific time (I got up at 8am eastern — do the math… I was up for way too long). One notable thing about my flight from Chicago to SFO — the guy across the isle to me was, I swear, the Asian Fred Berry (remember Rerun from “What’s Happening?”).
I’m staying at the Victorian on Lytton… nice accomodations.
